MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII -- The portion of 1st St from D St to building 1619, the building between hangars 101 and 102, will be closed March 6-28 for maintenance and repairs. Detour signs and roadside crews will remain in place to direct drivers to alternate routes on 2nd and 3rd St. Thank you for your patience as we maintain our installation.
March 10 UPDATE: Please be aware of increased traffic on 2nd Street and limited parking next week around Building 242 due to the 1st Street asphalt paving project. Portions of 1st street from D St to C St that will be closed for 48 to 72 hours beginning March 13 to facilitate necessary work.
March 21 UPDATE: The portion of 1st St between D St and the Hangar 101 crosswalk will be closed for road striping from 0900-1500, March 27. Please follow the detour signs directing you away from 1st St and utilize 2nd St and 3rd St as alternate routes. We ask that you proceed slowly, drive with caution, and obey all signs and directions from the construction crew and law enforcement. Thank you for your cooperation as we finish these repairs to our installation.
April 13 UPDATE: The portion of 1st St, between D St and 3rd St, will be closed from April 17-20. To facilitate these repairs and help traffic flow, only one lane of traffic will be open from April 24-27. Road striping will occur two weeks later from May 8-11 and will require this portion of the road to close as we finish these repairs. Please approach this area with caution and follow all road signs posted to divert traffic.
