A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III assigned to 21st Airlift Squadron, 60th Air Mobility Wing, lands during a Strategic Mobility Exercise at Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, July 7, 2023. Marines with 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, loaded approximately 400,000 pounds of equipment onto five C-17 Globemaster IIIs along with 100 passengers to be transported to the Philippines in support of Marine Aviation Support Activity 23. MASA 23 aims to enhance the capabilities of the Philippine Marine Corps, Philippine Navy, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, Philippine Air Force, and Philippine Naval Air Wing through bilateral engagements and training.
