MCBH PUBLIC ADVISORY - UPDATE #2: Mokapu Rd. Marine Mart fuel pump closure (Apr. 10)

10 Apr 2023 |

MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII -- The Mokapu Rd. Marine Mart fuel pumps will temporarily close early next week for maintenance and modernization upgrades. The exact closure date is unclear and dependent on when fuel tanks are depleted through fuel pump use. The Marine Mart store and car wash adjacent to the fuel pumps will remain open for use to the MCBH community.

Gas will still be available on base as the Marine Mart fuel lanes by the Main Gate will remain open. Both MCBH and MCCS Hawaii thank the base community for your patience.

March 22 UPDATE: The Mokapu Rd. Marine Mart fuel pumps will be closed for an extended period of time as part of a fuel storage and pump modernization project. The Marine Mart store and car wash adjacent to the fuel pumps will still remain open for use to the MCBH community. Gas will remain available at the Main Gate Marine Mart fuel lanes.

April 10 UPDATE: As a result of inspections of the facility, Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Hawaii will proactively replace the above-ground fuel tanks that supply the Mokapu Rd. Marine Mart fuel pumps. The gas pumps will remain closed for an extended period of time until the modernization project is complete. The Mokapu Rd. Marine Mart and self-service car wash will remain open, and gas is available at the Main Gate Marine Mart fuel lanes 24 hours a day.
