Retired U.S. Marine Corps Master Sgt. Eric Franklin, served from February 1993 to November 2015, working as a Communications Electronic Maintenance Chief. Franklin deployed twice to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 and 2005. Franklin was stationed on Camp Pendleton with 1st Force Reconnaissance Company, I Marine Expeditionary Force. Franklin, a Crookston, Minnesota, native, believes there is a strong bond between Marines whether they are active duty or retired.
