Task Force Southwest is comprised of about 300 Marines whose mission will be to train, advise and assist the Afghan National Army 215th Corps and the 505th Zone National Police. The unit is scheduled to deploy in the Spring.

MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Marines with Task Force Southwest fire an M224 60mm mortar during a live-fire range at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Jan. 18, 2016.
