Sgt. Joshua Flores (left), a platoon sergeant with Combat Logistics Battalion 3 and a Boston native, and Cpl. Dominique Craig, a supply clerk with CLB-3 and an Atlanta native, peel carrots in the kitchen at one of the Institute for Human Services’ shelters in Honolulu, Aug. 1, 2015. The Single Marine & Sailor Program regularly volunteers with IHS among other organizations throughout the year. The many volunteer opportunities SM&SP provides fall in line with the mission of Marine Corps Base Hawaii, which is to provide facilities, programs and services in direct support of units, individuals and families in order to enhance and sustain combat readiness for all operating forces and tenant organizations aboard the installation.
