Marine Corps to Begin Trial Run for New Physical Training Uniform

Marines will soon be testing and evaluating new physical training uniforms. The new PT uniform is modernized with all the performance attributes that align with commercial trends of providing uniforms with better form, fit and function, said Lt. Col. Andrew Konicki, Marine Corps Systems Command’s program manager for Infantry Combat Equipment. On April 13, MCSC awarded four contracts to produce PT uniform sets comprised of one PT shirt and one PT short. The uniform is for Marines to wear while conducting individual or organized PT exercises, and will provide a more athletic fit by incorporating anti-microbial, moisture-wicking, stretch, fast-drying and reflective attributes...

Marine Corps Systems Command intends to field an upgraded maintenance system capable of repairing circuit cards within electronic, communication and many other systems employed by Marines. The Circuit Card Assembly Test Station is a shelter-mountable unit that Marines can use to diagnose and repair circuit cards for any system comprising one. Marine Corps Utility Task Vehicles receiving multiple upgrades

The Marine Corps’ Utility Task Vehicles are undergoing several upgrades designed to improve the safety and performance of the vehicle. Using critical feedback from Marines and taking inspiration spanning the automotive industry to desert racing, engineers and logisticians from the Light Tactical Vehicle program office at Program Executive Officer Land Systems have been working diligently to research, test, procure and implement changes to the UTV. These changes include high clearance control arms, new run-flat tires, floorboard protection, a road march kit, a clutch improvement kit and an environmental protection cover.
