Marine Corps Base Hawaii announces the availability of their draft Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) . This Plan has been prepared in accordance with the conditions of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit No. HIS000007, which authorizes storm water and specified non-storm water discharges into Kaneohe Bay, Nuupia Ponds, Kailua Bay, and the Mokapu Central Drainage Channel.

On March 1st, 2016, the Navy will begin a 30-day public comment period for the SWMP. The public is encouraged to provide written comments no later than March 31, 2016. Members of the Public are also encouraged to attend an 'open session' and contribute comments and/or concerns in person. This Public Meeting is scheduled to be held on March 10th at 6:30 PM at MCBH Building 1359.
