On Nov. 4, 2004, the Hawaii Theatre Center completed its restoration of the exterior of the building. The facade restoration included the stabilization and repair of plaster, restoration of architectural details, a newly manufactured replica of the familiar art deco neon marquee, and a newly manufactured replica of the hallmark "HAWAII" vertical neon sign.
