Brig. Gen. George J. Trautman III (right), commanding general of MCB Hawaii, and his wife, Zoe, take a look at an authentic United States flag taken from Iwo Jima by Leo B. Rodby Jr. (front-left), after the battle. Rodby, accompanied by his son, Peter, kept the flag that came from his landing craft (LCT 1404) over the past 60 years as a momento. Approaching from the rear to assist in unfurling the flag is James Ward, vice president of The Chosin Few, Aloha Chapter.
