Gunnery Sergeant Donald Vollmer, 37, Headquarters and Support Company, 1/3, has a sample of his blood taken from a worker assigned to Tripler Army Medical Center to see if he is a possble bone marrow donor, Sep. 20, at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay. More than 70 Marines, Sailors, and civilians showed up to be tested to see whether or not they would be a possible bone-marrow donor for a Marine, assigned to Marine Corps Base Hawaii, who was recently diagnosed with leukemia.
