The 39th Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. Eric M. Smith, speaks with U.S. Marines stationed at Marine Corps Base Hawaii during a visit to MCBH, Aug. 10, 2026. The Commandant visited MCBH to record a birthday message for the annual Marine Corps Birthday Ball video, the engagement also provided Marines with an opportunity to speak directly with the Commandant and discuss their experiences and service in the Marine Corps.
