Lance Cpl. Jordan Durkee, an aircraft rescue and firefighter at the Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, hugs an adoptable dog at the Hawaiian Humane Society during a Single Marine and Sailor Program volunteer event in Honolulu, Hawaii, Aug. 20, 2017. The Hawaiian Humane Society hosted a dog walking volunteer event for the Single Marine and Sailor Program to participate in and give back to their local community. The goal of the SMSP is to improve the morale of U.S. Service members and the surrounding communities with different volunteer events and recreational activities.
