MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII - A World War II .50-caliber machine gun lies in its case after being dug up during a debris cleanup of the Kaneohe Base Range Training Facility during the summer of 2011. The cultural heritage series of Marine Corps Base Hawaii’s Environmental Compliance and Protection Department is responsible for preserving the historic archaeological and architectural sites on the base.
