MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII, Kaneohe Bay -- Media are invited to conduct personal interviews with the US Navy’s Blue Angels pilots and aircraft maintainers Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. RSVP with the MCB Hawaii media office, 257-8838, by 4:30 p.m. Sept. 26 and meet at the MCB Hawaii H-3 gate, Sept. 27 by 9:50 a.m. for escort to the event.
The Blue Angels are also available for radio and phone interviews Sept. 28. Please contact the MCB Hawaii media office to request an interview.
Civilian performers are available for interviews Sept. 27. Local pilot Alan Miller will demonstrate taking off and landing from a moving truck. Please contact the MCB Hawaii media office to request an interview or cover the demonstration.
The military and civilian aerial demonstration performers are recognized in the industry as top-tier performers.
The air show showcases the Blue Angels with Fat Albert, a Marine Air Ground Task Force demonstration, US Navy search and rescue demonstration, Navy Leap Frogs, Flying Leathernecks, Flashfire Jet Truck, “Hope One’s” final 50th state flight, military and civilian static displays, the Taste of Oahu and much more.
The free event is open to the public. Past air shows have drawn over 140,000 spectators.
