Lieutenant Colonel Suh is a native of Corona, California. He graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2009 and was commissioned in 2010 through the Platoon Leaders Course program.
His operational assignments include S-4 Officer, Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron 2, 2D Marine Aircraft Wing; Team Logistics Officer and Logistics Advisor, Police Advisor Team-District Musa Qala, Regional Command (Southwest); Current Operations Officer, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3D Marine Logistics Group; Company Commander, Landing Support Company, 3d Transportation Support Battalion; G-4 Logistics Operations Branch Chief, 3D MLG; Future Operations Planner, Compartmented Logistics Planner, and J433 Joint Logistics Operations Center Chief, J4 Directorate, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
He has deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM 13.1 and Marine Rotational Force-Darwin 20.2. His supporting establishment tours include assignments as Regional Operations Division Head, Environmental Security Division, Marine Corps Installations West (MCIWEST); and Aide-de Camp to the Commanding General of MCIWEST-MCB Camp Pendleton. He is a graduate of the Logistics Officers Course (Honor Graduate), Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Expeditionary Warfare School Blended Seminar Program (Distinguished Graduate); Defense Language Institute – Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) for the Korean language program (with High Honors); College of Naval Command and Staff at the Naval War College (NWC), and the Joint and Combined Warfighting School resident program.
He has earned a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and a Supply Chain Management Graduate Certificate from AFIT, an Associate of Arts in Korean from DLIFLC, and a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Ethics and Emerging Military Technology from NWC.
Lieutenant Colonel Suh’s awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with one gold star, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with one gold star. He has earned the Navy and Marine Corps Parachutist Insignia and is a Joint Qualified Officer.
