A: There are a variety of different types of sites. They include ancient Hawaiian habitation and agricultural sites, historic house sites, ranching and plantation era sites, as well as military sites. More information can be found on the history section of this website.
Q: Where can I get sand for sand bags, sand tables, etc?
A: Sand must either be procured commercially or you may contact Base Facilities to see if they have any sand stockpiled. Due to the erosion concerns and archeological sensitivity of MCB Hawaii’s shorelines and beaches, removal of sand for any purpose is NOT allowed. State law prohibits the removal of sand from all State beaches.
