COVID-19 PROCEDURES

In response to COVID-19, ID centers are providing services to those that have time sensitive issues only. This is to include initial CAC/USID issuance, Lost/Stolen CAC/USID, Dependent enrollment, and Blocked CACs.

-The minimum age for initial USID card issuance has been restored to 10 years old.

-USID cards which expire between January 1, 2020 – July 31, 2021, are authorized for continued benefit use through:

  • October 31, 2021, dependents of Active Duty personnel, and for Reserve and National Guard personnel and their dependents;
  • January 31, 2022, for retirees and their dependents, and all other populations.

-USID cards that expire after July 31, 2021 will not be accepted for physical access after their printed expiry date.

The Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS)/Real-time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS) Office provides services for issuing, replacing, or updating Common Access Cards (CAC) for service members (active and reserve), retirees, civilian employees, and contractors; resetting CAC personal identification numbers (PIN); enrolling dependents into the DEERS; and issuing or replacing dependent ID Cards.

Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE) is a web-based tool for collecting feedback about the services provided by various organizations throughout the Department of Defense (DoD). It allows customers to submit on-line comment cards to rate the service providers that they have encountered at military bases and related facilities around the world. It allows service providers to collect customer satisfaction data in a standardized format, which is stored in the ICE database. It also provides customers with a convenient and efficient method to express their opinions to service providers and receive feedback.
