Increased aircraft activity at MCB Hawaii

MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII, Kaneohe Bay
A Boeing 767 transporting training personnel will arrive at and depart from Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay Friday, Jan. 10, between midnight and 4 a.m.

Additionally, F/A-18 Hornet aircraft will be temporarily based at MCAS Kaneohe Bay, Jan. 10 – Feb. 5 in support of 3rd Marine Regiment training. Oahu residents may see and hear increased aircraft activity surrounding the base during the hours listed below. Maintenance will occur overnight to ensure the safe operation of all aircraft.           

Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 224 from Beaufort, S.C. will support the infantrymen of 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines and 1st Battalion, 12th Marines, as they conduct predeployment training at the Pohakuloa Training Area on the island of Hawaii.

Airfield hours                                                 
Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. to 12 a.m.                      
Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.    
Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.                                        
Jan. 22- Jan. 26, 24 hour operations
