MV-22 Ospreys visit MCB Hawaii

Four MV-22B Osprey aircraft will arrive for the weekend at Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay Aug. 29, 2013. 

The aircraft will conduct a static display and flight demonstration at 1 p.m. that day utilizing MCB Hawaii course rules and flying typical flight patterns to showcase the aircraft’s capabilities. 

Marine Medium Tiltrotor – 166 (VMM-166), based at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., is visiting Oahu as it transits the Pacific Ocean on its first west-coast deployment with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif.  The 13th MEU is part of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group, which left San Diego Aug. 23.

Alex Lim at alex.lim1@usmc.mil, no later than 12 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28. Members of the media who are attending will meet at the H-3 GATE no later than 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29. Please wear closed toe shoes, long pants and a sleeved shirt.
